Too big Plantera arena?
In my recent expert playthrough I made an absolutely MASSIVE arena for the Plantera fight. What hapenned is that Plantera seemingly went enraged even though the arena was halfway down the map. It had insane damage, extreme speed that you could'nt even outrun with a dash, not to mention the amount of seeds it was spitting.

I came to the conclusion that the arena was too BIG and she couldn't latch onto anything properly, so the AI might have thought that it was on the surface, thus making Plantera enraged.

I solved the problem by building circles of mud 10 blocks across scattered throughout the gigantic arena creating not too small passageways that I could easily fly through. This got Plantera back to her intended state.

Has something similar hapenned to anyone else?

Biomes are based on the amount of blocks around your character (or camera position if you're using Binoculars or Rifle Scope). You can destroy so many blocks around you that the biome changes completely. This is why if you fly too high above a biome like the Snow, Desert, Corruption, or Crimson, it thinks your in the Forest again.

If Plantera leaves the underground jungle she enrages, if she can't latch onto anything she floats up to the top of the map.
