I need help, I can't find my Terraria Plr/Wld files

So my files aren't working, it isn't cloud save, any plr/wld files put in Documents\My Games\Terraria don't show up, yet if I create a character or world ingame it doesn't show up in the Documents Terraria files, or anywhere else at that I can find. I've been trying to find the location of the files for two days with no luck. if I do turn on cloud save on a wld or plr it will show up in C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata\167602176\105600\remote But I still can't find the location of these files.

I've tried Uninstalling the game, with no difference, I even deleted the Terraria folder in My games and it changed nothing, it didn't come back after running the game either.

Search you entire computer for *.wld or *.plr (just put it in the seach in file explorer under Computer, so it shows all drives). If nothing shows up, you are using cloud saves.

already did. made sure I wasn't using cloud saves.

I just search 'Worlds' in files

Take a look under %appdata% . (Open a new Explorer window and put that in the top). They might be lurking under there.

Also, you're on Windows?

just tried. couldn't find anything, nothing in the Steam files either. Yes I am on Windows.

my documents/my games/terraria and it will have a worlds and players folder

edit: after reinstalling i suggest you do a files verification as well because if you are not using cloud saves which i personally never have then those files should be there under your documents.

I had the same problem and it turned out it saved them onto onedrive for some reason so check there
