will stars land on wooden platforms?

I wantr to make a star farm but I want to know if they land on wooden platforms or just fall right through them. I would prefer to make my giant sky-bridge out of platforms rather then solid blocks.

1. there is no reason to necro this, youtube exists.
2. stars are one of the worst things to get for money, especially because they are uncommon, and you need like 100 to get just 1 GOLD.
3. the only reason why you want to get stars from a star farm is because of the star cannon.
