Preventing Mobs from Spawning?

I know, this ain't Minecraft. No /gamerule MobsSpawn True/False, but seriously.

I'm trying to make a small roleplay world with my friend, and I've built this amazing monument. I've set Nebula Blocks as a gentle lighting everywhere, and it looks great. At night, it looks amazing. Just one thing... Zombies.

I've set "Peace Candles" everywhere to slow down the mobs, but... It feels like they aren't doing anything.
This is the first time I've ever tried building a huge project like this, so I don't know the basics for mob spawning. Can I get help?
Is there some kind of ingame command to stop mob spawning? Maybe some kind of contraption I could hide to have mobs spawn there to only be killed?

I know this is dumb but, I don't know how to use mods. Plus, it'll be a pain trying to help my friend with it too.

It's not just sunflowers tho, you need to use both sunflowers AND peace candles, for max efficiency, combine it with NPC's

How do NPC's help reduce spawns?

its so that the NPC can survive for a bit without being killed by a slime or something.

download tmodloader unzip the file and then copy the unzipped file into your local terraria file then tmodloader is downloaded

after download HEROS mod its like cheat sheet but you can disable enemy spawns

Without mods, you can only reduce mob spawn, like if you spread NPC houses, sunflowers, peace candles and walls they will spawn like 3-5 zombies in the whole night, but even then, blood moon and solar eclipse exists.

or instead of mods use Tshock...there are 2 commands that can be used to reduce or turn off mob spawns/rates.
