S.D.M.G is definitely the best for single targets. I recommend snowman cannon with rocket lll's for groups.

SDMG is probaby the best...but Coin Gun is the most highest gun damage and the most hardest or rarest to find only in pirate invasion which has 0.05% or around 1/8000 chance to be drop by either Pirate Captain/Flying Dutchman/Pirate Minions...compare to SDMG which has only 11.11% or should i say 1/9 chance to be drop by Moon Lord himself.

Coin gun also requires platinum coins to be better (or do gold coins work too? I don't use coin gun due to a lot of reasons)
Coin gun also can only use one type of ammo, making it harder to aim, and making the weapon generally less versitile.
And let's not mention the time it would take to farm all those platinum coins, only to have them be wasted away from the attack speed of the coin gun.

Well, what coins do better than an sdmg? That's the real issue at hand, coin gun is a fast firing weapon and therefore requires a lot of ammo.
If all that ammo is something like gold coins then the farming for the ammo would take too much time.

The only downside of SDMG is that it only deals 77 damage per ammo compare to Coin Gun which deals 200 damage per platinum coin as ammo...but it's indeed really a hassle to get or farm coins as ammos for it, so it only comes in handy or effective in certain situations.

I wouldn't say it ever gets handy, I have not seen a single way to be able to accumulate enough platinum coins for it to be effective ever. Creating a massive farm would take too much time and resources for it to be a good alternative to SDMG.
Please do specify what situations coin gun is better than SDMG in, and how you would get the ammo to operate it properly in those situations.
