How safe are mods from tmodloader browser?

Might be a stupid question but-

Always wondered what kind of process mods go through (if any) to check if they are safe before being uploaded to the mod browser.

Is there anything stopping someone uploading a malicious mod?

Unless the only types of files that can be uploaded onto the mod browser are ones that can't be exploited to be malicious.

Not stupid at all. It’s fairly safe and easy to use. You may have to restart your game for larger mods like thorium and calamity

I can't guarantee you that they're all safe but I've played with a lot of mods and it's been very smooth so far.

i have like 50 mods and its very safe i would say

Most of the mods I’ve seen are perfectly safe. Just make sure your computer can run them all.
