Help with Thorium
me and my buddy recently got into Hardmode and I don't know any good ranger stuff. Can someone help me?

I would suggest getting some basic hardmode gear and then fighting Coznix, The Fallen Beholder. He is summoned with a Void lens and should bless your world with a new ore.

I have tide hunter right now. What armour would you recommend for Ranger?

Oh sorry, what boss are you on? Coznix generates that ore which is a ranger set.
