Speed up fishing in honey

Fishing is already boring but i just spend a full ingame day fishing for the bumblebee fish and only got 6 honey fins. And I don't consider that fun.
I prefer to get my stuff fair but if all of fishing is gonna be this slow any direction to a cheat that gives me the quest items is fine to.
I am using a fiberglass fishing pole and grasshopper/worm bait. I have finished exactly 1 fishing quest, for the three others I had time expired before I got my fish and I really don't wanna waste my day of standing still and watching a bobber.
Also is it posible for the bobber to move and not get a fish? Because that keeps happening and I can't find anything about it online so I am concerned its a bug in my system.

1. make sure the pool of liquid is big.
2. Get the sitting duck's fishing rod that is sold by the travelling merchant.
3. Get some better bait, such as an enchanted nightcrawler which is a worm plus a fallen star.

simply put, you need better fishing power.

What would be a simple suggestion is: Getting better fishing gear, and to make that happen... you gotta do fishing quests, of course.
Not only that, you also gotta know what requirements you need for successful fishing at all, which is indicated as Fishing Power in the end.

There is an article about Fishing in the official Wiki, so I'll keep this short:
- Get a better fishing rod (Sitting Duck's Fishing Rod from the Travelling Merchant as said above)
- Get better bait (Enchanted Nightcrawler for example as said above as well)
- Fishing accessories, all 3 combined to an Angler Tackle Bag, decreasing the bait consumption rate, negating the 1/7 break chance for the fishing line and increasing Fishing Power.
- Make a bigger lake (specified liquid for specified fish, honey in this case)

All that should very likely increase your chance in getting fish and help speed up time for fishing altogether.
