You should look up what necro actually mean's. It's about the topic. In the case of @Durendal he was posting a solution to a post that others can reference and or help the OP fix his issues. And secondly you don't know if he does or doesn't still play the game. If anything the topic was just "Bumped". If @Durendal just said "Hi" then it would be a necro and possible spam.
Stop trying to be a forum ninja and post relevant comments related to the topic. And this was a suggestion, not backseat moderating (Don't even try to get smart with me).
Then i realised that my document folder etc were empty so i went to the onedrive folder that still existed and took all the files out of it into my normal folders(including my desktop and pictures as well).
And, you might have guessed it, terraria doesnt start anymore again!
ive gone into the regedit-folder again to see if it maybe wanted to load any files from the onedrive-folder but couldnt see anything that i didnt change to %USERPROFILE%...
someone please help me
Your solution helped me fix this issue after struggling with it for an hour, and would have probably taken several extra without it, so thanks! And ignore people complaining about necroing, it's not necroing if you're providing a new solution to an ongoing issue
Steam now lets you select an answer as solved (Checkmark button). Try using that now so people know. The rest that comment after that are just in the wrong. Also you are very welcome!
This solution helped me specifically on the part:
To go more in depth about modifying the registry key, Right click on the Item labeled "Personal" and change whatever it is set to to "%USERPROFILE%\Documents"
Upon opening Personal I can see that it is mapped at Onedrive changing it to %USERPROFILE%\Documents" solved it.
Thanks a lot pal!
You can normally find the Terraria folder in documents > my games > Terreria
