Any way of assigning more memory?

I keep crashing due to not enough memory (A lot of mods) But I want them, I dont even feel like i Have that many anymore haha.

Anyone know if its possible to hlep this situation?

You probably need more RAM and maybe a better processor.
So far this is the 100% guaranteed solution to fight against low memory.

What are your specs?

16gb DDR4 RAM, and a 6600K i5.

Dont think its me specs mate :)

Terraria is 32bit, so it can only use roughly 4GB of memory.

Anyway, how many mods do you have? I feel I have a lot of mods, but it only uses roughly 2,5-3GB.


I have 22 mods, including big ones like Thorium, Calamity, Spirit, Tremor and Overhaul.

I have similar mods, I dont understand why it breaks so easily. I even turned some off, im starting to think its a broken mod, yet it always comes up with the memory error.

Sometimes I also get a memory erroe when i have a non-compatable mod. So that could be tyhe problom.

Well, no. But I wasnt having random crashes and memory issues in my last playthrough, then I enabled Overhaul and its kinda gone to ♥♥♥♥. Im going go post a list of my mods here and I anyone who knows any that arent compatable can tell me. Thanks:

Hot damn thats a lot more mods than I thought I had, oh well. It didnt crash before Overhaul, I think its just too much for it :(

You have a few more mods than I have, but those mods shouldn't take up that much memory imo. When did you start to have the problem? Any mods you've recently updated?

Cant remember, only since Overhaul to be honest. And now im really pissed, just spent 40 minutes building a starter house, leave and save so it doesnt crash and delete it all, go to play it again. "Load backup"? "Backup failed, no backup" So it essentially left without saving and now the world is caput.






Having lots of fun. Starting to think overhaul isnt even worth it anymore.

Update. All my worlds are now broken. All of them say load from backup. None of them have backups. Didnt change any mods inbetween this issue now occuring.

Are you sure don't have any bak-files in your world-folder? All my worlds have backups. They are generated automatically.

I would reinstall everything, if I were you. Delete all mods from your mods-folder, and download them again. Download Terraria again from Steam. And download the newest modloader.
