Spore Sac viability

So spore sac seems to be only really good against early hardmode or earlier enemies and even then it only seems to be great for AFK farming and while building, from experience is there any good builds or synergies that include spore sac?

Yup, that's most of its jobs. A minion that's better at muching low-tier mobs.

It also performs very well against the Martian Saucer should you find yourself without a Daedulus on hand.

There are two notable uses I found for the Spore Sac. Going afk in multiplayer (alongside a few summons) and enemy/loot farming. As far as boss fights and the like go it'd be more detrimental to your overall DPS in most cases than you would be without it.

Its okay'ish as summoner i say. You can dodge and spread spores. As long you dont have Arenas or fights that run over the whole map, its pretty decent.
