Flower boots with flare strat

I'm trying to get a jungle rose and on the wiki it says it has a 1% chance of dropping from the red flowers on jungle grass and I'm wodering if you can get it from using the flower boots, all i've gotten is jungle grass seeds so far

Maybe just explore the jungle? I've only understood that the flower boots only grow grass and not actual flowers. However, if you do see red flowers appearing from your flower boots, then it's most likely you can get it.

I was just experimenting a bit and it seems the red flower and the blue flower(for the nature's gift) don't seem to spawn with the flower boots so I guess it needs to spawn natually, might take a bit then if its only 1%...
