Mining multiple tiles at once?

Somehow i think i've seen something about that in some patch notes ages ago. So far i couldn't figure out how to do it. But maybe i'm just confusing stuff with Starbound mining... am i?

Hmm, the wiki says it's a late game item but I'm only passed the Eye and King Slime. Gonna try out that smart cursor thingy though. Thanks!

Smart cursor also lets you place walls and interact with things SUPER EASY.
