inventory not showing when i press escape

i dont know what happend, i pressed escape to go into my inventory, but its not there, i dont know if i hit a button or what, does anyone have any clue?

Try force closing the game and going into setting on front page of game, must have bumped something :shrug:

I know that the post is ages old , but I just had same problem. I had no inventory , no HUD/interface , no cursor and when I hit escape then game froze but did not show inventory or anything else. However I managed to read elsewhere to try pressing F11 , and that worked for me as far as bringing back inventory and interface.
So answer to the above is press F11 on keyboard !
