Tmodloader multiplayer not working

I've tried hosting a server, host and play, and getting the exact same mods as my friends, but nothing has worked, anyone know how to fix multiplayer just plain not working? I really want to do this playthrough.

What's not working? Is it the your friends can't join, or the world isn't loading? More details please. Is there any error message?

Try to use the bat in your terraria folder called "start-tModLoaderServer-steam-friends.bat" and then host and play. It works for me

Thread update : its my friend, he can't join without "Lost connection"
we have exact same mods and exact same version but he can't join
(using steam-sever-friends)
