PLEASE HELP! Why is This Happening?

I don't spawn with a pickaxe or axe when I play MODDED Terraria.

My working theory is that due to the hotbar slots being taken up by the various starter items from Calamity and Spirit Mod, there is no room for the pickaxe and axe to spawn.

Any suggestions or method to fix this issue? Or any new theories to conclude the real problem?

That doesn't seem like a potentional fix if I were to download the exact same mods I had.

It could be one of your mods affecting you. Try disabling them and enabling them.

Again, that doesn't seem to be the answer since after enabling, I'd still have the same mod.

Did you backup the game when you added the mod loader? Like just make a copy of it before u added it?

Would be the simplest temp fix to ur prob,
It could be tedious to have to do this everytime u make a new character though...

use heros mod or cheat sheet or another mod that gives you an axe and pickaxe that are modded

its probably a temporary glitch since i also have calamity and spirit mod and nothing is the problem.

Thanks everyone for your suggestion. I simply downloaded a starter pack mod that overrides all the vanilla given starter items. So now I get the pickaxe and axe
