Black Lens

GOD Black lens have been probably the hardest thing for me to get rn. I just defeated the twins and was hoping to make the optic staff. I made another Hardmode world, where I have an afk farm with a water candle. I get lots a few demon eyes and wandering eyes, and by now I'd say I have killed over 100 on each . Any help on what to do?

Have you tried battle potions? I'm certain it would stack with the Water Candle.

No I haven't. What do you need to make them?

Bottled water. Deathweed and Rotten Chunk/Vertebrae. For battle potion (must be crated at a placed bottle. or Alchemy table).

Also, should I be in Hardmode or pre Hardmode? Does that even affect it?

Doesnt matter. drops from both Demon eye and wandering eyes(or so wiki says on wandering eyes). through pre hardmode is advised due to the fact there can spawn alot more in hardmode then prehardmode.

Thanks for the feedback. But I've been trying too long. I've tried for 3 days to get Black lens and haven't gotten anything. Is there any free items servers that give Black lens?

NFG13 its just luck (like i had gotten mine on the third night of playing my current playthrough.) 1/100 chance for them to drop a black lens :/.
There are always some servers that probly give black lenses.

Using the 'crafting' function of the guide NPC with some water bottles in your inventory will let you look forward into pretty much the entire crafting tree(s) to find the ingredients for potions pre or post hardmode.
