Are tomb crawlers/dune splicers scary?

If you are scared of tomb crawlers/dune splicers, then yes.

Tomb crawlers are the reason I don't bother with the Underground Desert pre-HM.

I tried a "Start in the Desert" game and not only can you not mine Desert Fossils until you have got the EoW/BoC pickaxe, Tomb Crawlers usually two-shot you on Expert.

In HM there's nothing of use in the desert and everything's scary, but I'd still rather visit the Underground Hallow.
