Somehow make an above ground cave biome?

Alright, so I am making layers on top of my house, each having a different biome. I currently have a mushroom biome, and a crimson biome. I wan't to know if there is a way to make an above ground cave biome, or something that spawns things that would be found in caves. This is a stupid question, I know.

I don't think you can as the biome is decided upon by the depth you're currently in

No the cavern layer is considered by the game to be the forest biome below a certain depth. As such, there is no way to cause cave enemies to spawn aboveground.

As a substitute, you could add a teleporter to your desired cave area and fill the rest of the layer with dirt and stone to simulate it.

You can also put statues on timers if u want the mobs
