how to stop people bringing items from there world to mine?
so i know you can make a tshock server with ssc (server sided characters) but thats kinda anoying to do since you need to port foward and share your ip with people so ive been looking for other ways, i downloaded tModLoader and found a mod that seemed to do the same thing as a tshock server but sadly when i updated tModLoader it was out of date and couldn't use it anymore :-/

Sooo I've come here to ask if anyone knows another way of stoping people bringing items into your world from theres or even another mod that isn't out of date?

Thanks in advance :)

play mediumcore / hardcore. when people die they drop items, and that will help you to know if some rookie is carying items or not.

well if you always play softcore then of course its going to be too hard on mediumcore. but if you actually started trying to do mediumcore and getting good, it would become the norm.

Umm... that's based on character... not world...
You can have a hardcore character while another player can come in with a softcore, so in term, it's not really possible to stop people from bringing in op stuff unless you wanna be a jerk and install a plugin that erases their inventory.

there's no such thing as op stuff - none of you are actually op. you get the op tag when you can kill me.

That's called "overskilled." I'm afraid the players don't get inherently stronger when they best you in PvP.

But I partially agree. There is no such thing as an OP item. I much prefer the term "overgeared," because no matter what Vanilla stuff you have, being dumb against expert Moonlord WILL get you killed.

Do you realize how you sound? I honestly don't know if you're trolling or not. First of all, you need to stop talking ♥♥♥♥ and treating others as less than you because you play hardcore. Secondly, you literally cheat by glitching in a Rod of Discord at the start of a world. You're literally talking trash because you play hardcore but you cheat anyways so It's not even legit. Stop being such an ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.

ffs even if you had the rod you'd still die. im currently playing w/o rod. and theres no such thing as cheating in terraria. its a sandbox game. im not ruining any of yous games with my rod. RESPAWNING INFINITELY COULD BE CALLED CHEATING HOWEVER. please use your brain and think about that for a second. softcores calling me im cheating or im not legit is the bigest joke ever xD

I wouldn't say that Playing softcore is Cheating, as you have the ability to play it too. You just choose not to, and that's not anyone else's problem.

besides you hack. you have infinite lives and you still need to hack because the game is too hard for you apparently. you ruin MP games with your hacks. and yet you call me not legit? lets think about that for a second.

I don't know if anyone said this already because I'm one of the TL;DR people, but you could require a password and just not tell the person bringing items the password.
