Fastest way to farm bait?

Title. Since you can't use statues, I just want to know if there's a way to farm them fast, as I'm only just getting into the fishing and want a lot of bait in case I fail a lot.

hi, fastest way is to discover thejungle biome that grows the green grass, and build a few platforms of it with the mud you collect from that area. I think its mud? you gotta explore that area till you break enough leaves and such in that biome to get a jungle biome seed. then plant that near ur house on those mud platforms and itll grow lots of the grass. then just run thru each level of it and break all the grass and use a bug net to collect the bait. Bugnet is sold by one of the npc's i forget I think the Merchant.

Most insects harvested in the jungle don't have such a high bait power. I would recommend waiting for rain and simply catch the worms around your house. Then you can combine the worms with stars to have a more powerful bait

i would get flower boots and a flare gun and box yourself in the jungle and you can have about infinite bait

Flower boots, flare gun, and jungle grass. shoot flare gun at jungle grass. stand on it. flower boots spawn more jungle grass while the flare clears it. catch all the bait that continuously spawns. buggies have 40% power so they are worth.

I lie this one. And yes, it does require flower boots as most bait farm guides will say.
