Hornet staff or Imp staff?

Im playing on expert and it kinda feels like that the hornet staff brings a lot more dps than the imp staff, especially against bosses, am i wrong or is the higher attack speed much better?

Generally. hornets dont miss as often and have a greater attack speed. but the flame is better for total dps.

I suggest 1 imp. rest hornets. unless you arent summoner.

Yea Imp misses more and fires slower than Hornets despite doing way better per hit damage.
Hornets will have better overall DPS from what i noticed.

Also Imp can't fire through and in water , hornets can so that's another thing to consider when you are exploring areas with a lot of water.
