And if this doesn't work, you can recruit help. I would be perfectly happy with bringing my own nebula set to help you nuke everything.
solar armor attracts all the enemies in multiplayer to come after you btw
Solar Eruption and Solar Armour are great, please shut up.
I use that but I can't seem to get past Wave 12.
I'm more of a melee guy - also I'd be glad to accept help. I've sent you a friend request.
......
First time I fought both moon events to their max waves (15 for Pumpkin Moon and 20 for Frost Moon) in Expert Mode was as a Summoner, so consider doing that. Use your Solar Flare setup the first time if you want to but I recommend a Summoner-oriented setup after that, if you are going to continue using the summons.
Use one or more of the cross-over accessories to give you more than one sentry and use that in combination with your minions until the first Pumpking wave comes. Then use a mount or your wings to fly around and hit the Pumpkings while your minions go after them. The moon event minibosses count more toward finishing the wave than the smaller mobs do so the more Pumpkings you defeat, the quicker the waves will pass. I typically finish Wave 10 by 10 PM (ironic, I know) so you should have lots of time finishing the last 5 waves.
I am not that much of a melee user, especially with the Moon events, because I find you waste too much time taking down mobs individually. You'll do that well with Solar Flare but it will be too slow. At the very least, you should have arenas and traps to take care of the lesser mobs while you go after the Pumpkings.
I use vampire knives for my Summoner. They don't do a lot of damage but they keep your health up while you're hitting mobs so consider that as well.
An easy thing to say but now you have to stand behind it. Otherwise you're just a hypocrite. Why not join a Steam petition to get Terraria VAC-protected? We can start one on the official forums for Re-logic developers to see, too, if you are at all being serious.
"Put your money where your mouth is," as they say.
What the ♥♥♥♥ is going on. I wanted some advice for Pumpkin Moon and this happens.
