{Semi-Resolved} (Modded) Clentaminating Help w/ Shadows of Abaddon
Okay, so, I'm *trying* to record a modded playthrough with friends. In a singleplayer world I am using Hero's Mod to help speed through progression and get a feel for how I want to shape the world into a template (I like cheating to build a template world before replicating the world in the hard way, so I can experiment with building designs and such) I just got around to the Post-Moonlord content in Shadows of Abaddon (SacredTools) and I've noticed something strange with the Flame-Razed Forest biome. The Ember Rock (Stone with Ember Moss) is not being clentaminated via the Cleansing Spray, as the Wiki suggests, but the Thermal Rack (Stone with no Moss) can be cleansed. I have to teleport back and forth with the Camera Fly option and manually remove the Ember Rock piece by piece to prevent the biome spreading, but once I make any progress, the game crashes and the last half hour is lost. Are there any extra mods that I can use to overwrite one type of block with another, similar to a world editor's Paint function? I thought that Fargo's Mod had something to insta-purify the entire world, which would allow me to clentaminate the Corruption/Crimson/Flame Forest/etc biomes in where I please, but since the new TMod Loader update came out (I haven't updated yet so that I can keep Spirit Mod and the like) Fargo's Mod is no longer available in the Mod Browser, so I can't check. I'm checking for an older version I can manually download, but until I can find it (A friend might have a copy of the outdated version of the mod for the old Mod Loader) but in the meantime are there any other mods that can basically pick block X and overwrite all block Y with block X. I'm sick of trying to clentaminate everything only for it all to crash. At least if I can do it all in one fell swoop and it crashes soon after, I can Save and Exit the instant it's clean, then let it crash after it's saved. Any information would be extremely helpful.

Use Cheat Sheet Paint function instead. You can select an area and then copy it into a different area.
I used to have Cheat Sheet but it started crashing the game all the time and that's why I switched to Hero's Mod. I forgot about it when I was writing the post, but if I can get it working again it might help. It's not like I care about preserving that particular world indefinitely, I'm just sick of things crashing while I try to do things the long way. Using Cheat Sheet's paint mode isn't exactly a quick fix but I'll be able to do large areas without having to manually teleport to each patch of Ember Rock. The Save and Quit every few minutes option is also risky as the game also tends to crash when it's generating the world's backup. If all else fails, my friend said they should have an old version of Fargo's Mod for TMod v10 that hasn't been updated, I can copy it from their computer so long as I don't update it afterwards.
Okay, so I just spent the last 2.5 hours manually removing the Flame from my world, I think a few patches are left, but I managed to get Cheat Sheet working again. I was able to camera fly across the map and paint over existing patches with regular stone blocks + air background to prevent ninja spreads from the walls. I figured that most of the lag eating up Terraria's 2gb (which causes the out-of-memory crashes) actually came from the Clentaminator itself, as for some reason using the specialised Cleansing Spray for the Flame Razed Forest eats up 12-15 units of solution per second, and roughly 4-8 per tap of the mouse button. All those particle emitters, plus the fact that they broke every pot, painting and cobweb in range and left items laying all over the place, tended to eat up a lot of ram. I found that adding 4 stacks to the inventory, using them all up and then Save-Exiting allowed me to work with minimal lag/crashes. I can usually count about 18 minutes until lag starts, which is the point I back out, whether I've used all my spray or not. I'll continue on my next task and wait for the remnants to spawn, once they're big enough I'll be able to see them on the map. (The Fire Moss from the Ember Rock looks like the Magma Ore on the map which confuses me) Luckily for me, the bulk of the Flame was trapped between the Spirit Biome (From Spirit Mod), The Corruption and the Dungeon.
I still don't know why the Ember Rock isn't convertible into regular stone while Thermal Rack is, it may be a bug or something, but the devs should patch it. If I knew how to make mods, I would add an endgame option to nuke large chunks of biomes entirely from the world. My example would be a mechanical item crafted at a Steampunk Boiler, Anvil and Ancient Manipulator sitting together with a dozen or so bars of Luminite, 4 Clentaminators, A Spore Sac (From Plantera), a Jetpack, a Steampunk Boiler, Nanites (From the Cyborg), and a 3-second Timer. A Biome Config Node will also be needed, and they are crafted at an Ancient Manipulator & Crystal Ball with a full stack of Clentaminator Solution and items based on what biome you want to spread, plus 5 of each Celestial Tower Fragment, and this can be cross-compatible with other mods.
The machine, when placed, can be configured to travel either up, down, left or right by hammering it, and activated via right-clicking with a Biome Config Node. It will then travel at the base walking speed of a character (30ft/s?) and release a pulse every 3 seconds that converts a circular area of roughly 300 blocks radius into the corresponding biome. It of course will be able to travel through blocks, and will self destruct upon reaching the world border, releasing one final pulse. Despite being costly, it would be a powerful, but short-lived solution to cleanse huge chunks of your world in one swoop.
These would be the Biome Config Node recipes (Not Including the 5 Solar, Vortex, Nebula and Stardust Fragments or A Lihzahrd Power Cell):
Purity: 999 Green Solution, 99 Grass Seeds, 99 Daybloom, 99 Mushroom
Jungle: 999 Green Solution, 99 Jungle Grass Seeds, 99 Vines, 99 Jungle Spores
Mushroom: 999 Dark Blue Solution, 99 Mushroom Grass Seeds, 99 Glowing Mushrooms
Corruption: 999 Purple Solution, 99 Corrupt Seeds, 99 Vile Mushroom, 99 Unholy Water, 99 Souls of Night, 99 Demonite Bars
Crimson: 999 Red Solution, 99 Crimson Seeds, 99 Vicious Mushroom, 99 Blood Water, 99 Souls of Night, 99 Crimtane Bars
Hallow: 999 Blue Solution, 99 Hallowed Seeds, 99 Purifying Powder, 99 Crystal Shards, 99 Souls of Light, 99 Hallowed Bars
Calamity's Astral Infection, 1500 Astral Solution, 999 Stardust, 50 of Each Lunar Fragment instead of 5
Shadow of Abaddon's Flame Razed Forest, 999 Flame Solution, 99 Vials of Fiery Blood, 99 Living Fire Blocks, 99 Hellstone Bars
Spirit Mod's Spirit, 999 Spirit Solution, 99 Ethereal Embers, 99 Spirit Bars, 200 Essence of Eternity

Download the 64bit version of Tmodloader. That will allow it to use ALL of your RAM, not just 2gb.

All the more details to make one's point clear.

I'm definitely going to take a look at this. If I can get this set up, it'll solve a ton of issues for me AND my friends.

I'm unofficially marking this comment as (semi)resolved as I've managed to control the Flame-Razed Forest in my test world with cheaty methods, but I'll leave this open to further debate if anyone's got anything else useful to add. I've worked out a strategy for early containment that can be done quickly with legitimate effort and resources, and it should work effectively in our upcoming multiplayer Let's Play. If I can get my hands on Fargo's Mod again, I'll edit a footnote to say whether or not it has the tools to purge it entirely like I thought. Still have yet to see my friend to get that outdated copy of the mod for testing purposes.

Edit: No, Purity Renewal from Fargo's Mod doesn't work.
