does bait power stack with fishing power?

Ok so i'm trying to get the pigron mount and i read on the wiki that if you fish in the underground ice hollow/ underground ice corruption/ underground ice crimson with 50 fishing power you have a 1/100 chance to get the scaly truffle. I have the sitting duck's fishing pole wich has 40 fishing power. If i were to use a bait with 10 bait power would they stack to make 50 bait power or do i need the golden rod which has 50 fishing power? Thanks for the help!

yea i think bait power adds onto fishing power or there would be no point to bait power

If you keep turning in fishing quests, you'll eventually receive the Fisherman's Pocket Guide, which displays your current fishing power then you'll see.

yes it stack

fishing, armor, bait and buff all stack each other

example
sitting duck pole (40) + bait (10) + angler set (5+5+5) + fish buff(15)
will give you 90 fishing power

after the stacking another factor is weather, time, moon phase , and fishing area size
but all of this 4 is a multiplier and do not stack . applied after the initial stacking one after another


so yeah the bait and the pole stack
