I really hope they make the Terrablade better in 1.4

Right now it's really underwhelming and an extreme disappointment.

You don't, most people don't make a nights edge because it's so much work for a weapon with no projectiles, terrible against WoF. Influx Waver fires much faster (I think deals more damage) and you might as well get it because you can get cosmic car key too. And the martian saucer is stupid easy.

Influx Waver has a higher DPS still, since the projectiles hit multiple times.

Martian madness is post Golem, but what else are you supposed to work towards while waiting for solar eclipses? Heck, even if your goal was the Terra blade, taking down Plantera would still be helpful for the solar tablet fragments in the temple, and then Golem is a quick easy fight from there.

Don't most pre hardmode weapons you know, don't have projectiles? Yes, its alot of work, fierygreat sword sucks, grassblade, sucks, maramusa, fun to use but its weak as ♥♥♥♥, and that corruption specific sword sucks, and sure, Excalibur sucks too, nobody uses those swords, Fetid Baghnakhas are a better choice even at Golem levels, but the reward is a pretty good sword that lasts... It lasts till golem but still proves quite usefull, also the looks, i know others look quite neat [star wrath is damn good looking in my opinion] but i prefer terrablade, i still wage that in my weapon and armor choices [its why i use Titanium armor... and for its special ability]

It lasts one boss... Literally one. When I can use 5 light disks all the way up to lunatic cultist. Titanium armor I can agree with.

I mean i do think you cannot argue with Titanium, while yes others may give bigger damage bonus, i do find its invincibility usefull even againts bullet hell type things. Tough its not really 1 boss for Terrablade, sure might as well ditch it after Golem, but its damage still proves well even for Cultist, tough that might be fact that i, learned how to use terrablade really well and move along with it so i make most out of it where as, something like Influx waver and others its, bit different.

I feel like it should at least shoot a projectile every swing. I feel like it's not a very reliable weapon for ranged combat atm.

Isn't it already like per swing but its so fast the game cannot make enough projectiles?

No. The game shoots the projectiles on a set timer, not per swing. Increasing your melee speed doesn't increase the fire rate.

If it was increased melle speed that would't make sense since as i said 'isn't it swinging so fast game doesn't send enough projectiles' which your answer doesn't really do anything to that, tough its prob more of a delay than a timer considering how fast projectiles are fired... i mean to be fair they aren't that fast in honesty but, its like an average speed you want you guns to shoot at.

the terra blade is awful. getting the excalibur is not that hard but the nights edge is a horrible sword pre hardmode cuz its easily beat by enchanted sword or even starfury. then u have to kill plantera then fight the solar eclipse and get lucky to kill 2 mothrons and have them drop broken hero swords. and after ALL of that, u get a sword that is good against 1 single boss, the golem. and as we all know the golem is a VERY easy boss. now after u kill golem u can easily get a sword that outshines the terra blade, the influx waver

if u dont want to go out of ur way to fight martian madness then fine, but then even before u get the terra blade u can just fight the pumpkin moon and get the horsemans blade

so yea, the terra blade sucks
