What is the best wizard set in Pre-Hardmode?

Candidate 2:Diamond Wizard Set
Candidate 3:Jungle Set
Candidate 4:Meteor Set

I think its quite obvious which one is the worst...

And yes,you use the Space Gun with the Meteor Set.

I used the jungle armor to defeat a lot of the bosses so i might go with the jungle armor.

I use meteor armor for space gun just so i can at least always have a weapon up.

meteor armour imo cause space gun's free ammo is too good because it means you always have a weapon that you can use to kill any enemies which can drop more mana for your other weapons

Meteor armor is the better offensive set. Jungle armor gives you more mana and a better crit chance. The diamond robe + wizard hat surpasses the jungle armor in both mana and crit chance but it has crappy defense. And I don't know enough about this "♥♥♥♥♥ Set" to give you a verdict on that. So I personally would go with the Meteor set for the increased damage and defense if you are planning to mix things up, but for a purely magic-oriented character (and the challanges that come with that) I would go with the diamond set.
