Eh if the person wants to play the game with potion cooldown removed who cares? It is not a fun way to play but the way they learn that is by trying it. Panning them and putting them down is not in anyway helpful or even interesting. So much the default bs behavior on steam unfortunately.

wdym? I never insulted or degraded the guy in any one of my posts. I'm simply saying if he wants a game with 0 challenge Terraria is not the game for him.

I've not used this mod myself, so I'm not entirely sure if you can completely remove the cooldown with it, but here you go. It's configurable, so you should at least be able to set it to 1 second.

Mod requires DALib to work.

There's also this one that adds new potions that have no cooldown.

imagine this like the only problem in softcore lol also 60 seconds isn't that long if you know how to avoid attacks for 60 secs ur set lol

and at 200 hours in i was already playing hardcore expert with a pro... meanwhile this guy complains about such things. interesting hmmm

the health potion restriction is a game mechanic. and removing it would mean that some players would pretty much never die, unless it's an OHK damage source or they run out of potions. surviving both pve and pvp would become 99x times easier. how can you not understand this?
Lebhleb Aug 27, 2019 @ 2:55am
Ah i remember 1.0.0, health potion heals 50, or 100 was it, and like 5 second regen, never thought id go up the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ skeletron only for him not to even dent me

ive played this game before but im starting a new character

pretty sure when i bought this game there wasnt a health potion restriction at all
Since heath potions were introduced, there has been the cool down so you aren't a invincible god at only half a hour playing

Actually, there sort of wasn't, as i said it lasted a couple of seconds, and then you could dru- drink it again.

I can confirm this. Try out the 1.0 version on Gamelauncher (only possible if you have a legally purchased copy of the game) and you can try it yourself. Or you can watch older Youtube LP's of Terraria like I do. Both mushrooms and healing potions could be consumed again almost immediately afterward. There were also a few challenges in the earliest versions that aren't in the current version so the difficulty level kinda levels itself out a bit, but not by much.

EDIT: Added a sentence.

so a mod to bring this to current gen terraria because 5 seconds or under between potions was soo much better i could actually use a couple different heals to you know, heal
Lebhleb Aug 27, 2019 @ 5:41am
Listen, point of healing potion is to heal a few mistake, or a heavy hit in expert mode, not to be a god, there is a difference in here and skyrim, where as Skyrim you use healing potions since you didn't bother to smith so you get ♥♥♥♥♥♥ by 2 level 30 deathlords to stay alive, where as here, you are naturally playing a bullet hell game, that actually even allows you to heal unlike many others [reminds me of Chicken Invaders, die on that and you can just ♥♥♥♥ off trying to play near the end without powers]

terraria is not a challenging game to begin with

so i dont see a reason why this game has restriction to make the game frustrating rather than challenging

You don't make any sense, you say that the game isn't challenging but then complain about the potion restriction causing you to die.......Am I missing something or is managing your health and making sure you don't get hit so often since you can't just super chug potions part of the challenge of the game?

If you take away the health potion timer than any boss fight turns into grappling into place and just chugging potions with a hot key and boom you win......It is there for a reason.

Healing potions (50 and 100 health) were in the release version of the game, Potion Sickness (ie. the 60 second ban) was introduced in 1.0.6. Healing Potion was tied with Restoration Potion for the largest burst heal until 1.1 introduced Hardmode and Greater Healing Potions.

There was actually a bit of an uproar about the introduction of Potion Sickness, but every boss is beatable with it in place, regardless of character settings and world mode. You may just have to prepare your fights better if you're having trouble with something.
Coleyohley! Aug 27, 2019 @ 7:09am
Removing potion sickness means the ONLY challenge left in the game is actually obtaining said potions. The only things that can really kill you now are things that kill you instantly (and there aren't many of those).

And Terraria IS a challenging game. Go play hardcore expert and tell me how that goes.
