Best Class for Calamity?

What is the best class for calamity? I am planning on doing class playthroughs, and am wondering which one is the best through most points of the game. This is for death mode, ofc.

Ranger with a mix of Summoner

melee shouldnt be a good class in the start, but you can get melee armor for more defense, also, ranged or summoner are nice classes, magic... well... only if you get very much mana crystals

Use any weapon any time but stick to ranger and summoner for bosses also stick to Ranger armor

rogue is good as some of the later rogue weapons are just amazing

Why is summoner so good? Personally, I've played through calamity deathmode a ridiculous amount of times through moon lord, didnt often make it past, and mage/ranger was super insane for me. I did a rogue playthrough just recently, and had trouble finding a strong single target weapon late hardmode. Melee seems really fun, but I like being very mobile so i dont think I'll go with that. I havent even tried summoner other than using the summon when fighting things like king slime, so idk about that

summer (basically all classes) are viable post ml, summoner just struggles a tad bit in certain areas, mostly accessories

Because having extra DPS is always good plus it helps to deal with weaker enemies while you're doing something like building or farming

IMO mage is what I recommend.
