There are many other ways to go about this farm it can be vertical , a large square cavern there are many guides online how to make a efficient Chlorphyte farm (keep in mind the mud blocks need to be spaced properly for Chlorphyte to fully grow.
Also it needs to be in Cavern layer or below.
and ofc after you set up your farm go to the Dungeon and kill every thing untill you bump into Dungeon spirits and kill them aswell till you have enough Ectoplasm.
I mine everything from inside the square but leave the 4 chlorphyte blocks on the sides as "catalysts' and just fill the empty space with mud and wait till it grows back rinse and repeat.
For getting the Ectoplasm, make an arena in the dungeon with a platform high enough that you can't see the enemies when they're on the ground. This will allow enemies to spawn underneath you and you can just bombard them and occasionally drop down to collect the loot.
