Steam uninstalls Tmodloader
Exactly what the title says, it says that I need to reinstall it, but when I do it uninstalls tmodloader and all my progress, and also when I try to open it from the file, it says Terraria was edited so I can't run tmodloader.

mods ruins a game dont try again it

I mean it uninstalls my modded saves

I mean Vanilla Terraria is inherently unmodded. So what's happening is the base game is not installed properly so it keeps trying to reinstall. Remove Tmodloader (don't touch your saves which should remain in the documents/my games/terrraria/modloader sub folder. BUT DO save them in a backup zip elsewhere on your machine. (both players and worlds sub folders))

Just remove tmodloader and its exes. Uninstall terraria (it is a small download) Reinstall it from steam. Check the file integrity. Run it to make sure it runs (start a character and world.) If that checks out. Re-install tmodloader. This SHOULD fix the problem.

Aight, I'll try it, but it only happens the next day for some reason

I mean No they don't. Some do of course because some mods are designed poorly and without consideration. But the good mods available on tmodloader range quite a bit in quality from "don't touch this" to "amazing new game experiences - must play". You can research the difference.

For starters, Thorium, Calamity and Antiaris all get my thumbs up though I would not combine them as they will break the game in combination.

Imksushi's mod and Fargo's mods are pretty good quality of life mods if you hate the grindy aspect of rng drops (they do not make the game easier otherwise though as you still need to do the same fights and material runs, they just cut out some of the extra grind.

The recipe mod is very good if you need to learn the game or just help an ailing memory with at your fingertips look up. It does nothing else for you but sometimes a little knowledge is all a player needs.

None of the above ruin the game. Or did not do so for me (1600 hours+ in game.)

sorry, it's a bit blurry, basically it crashed, but it was tmodloader that crashed, not terraria itself

Even maximized at 300% I can't read that. :/

sorry

Can you post what it says? (How odd that it is so tiny!)

I might have a solution ready

is terraria overhaul glitchy when paired with other mods?
Winter Wolf Sep 3, 2019 @ 6:42pm
Yeah Overhaul is horribly glitchy with other mods. You have to be very selective with it.

Also it is not a mod I found to be good though the ideas were very cool. (Not a fan of my structures setting themselves on fire randomly.)

alright well thank you I think i fixed that error, but that error specifically. There might be more
