*HOW THE HELL* do you turn off the radial hotbar?!
Seriously. It's terrible.

I'm playing with an Xbox One controller hooked to my PC and whenever I want to switch items I use my bumpers to switch in hotbar, but this "radial hotbar" ♥♥♥♥ pops up and I have to scroll around to get to the item I want. It's super SUPER inconvenient and the stick sensitivity is screwed up.

How do I turn this radial hotbar off so that I can switch through items in my hotbar with bumpers like I would with the scroll wheel on PC?

also, my sensitivity is way too high.

Go to the control settings, or just play with mouse and keyboard, its way easier than playing with a controller

I was given the controller as a gift and I've wanted to play Terraria with a controller. It's just really dodgy.
"Go to the controller settings" is so unspecific it's not helpful at all.

Considering how old this post is, you've probably already found a solution, but Just in case you haven't:

I had this problem for a few days and managed to fix it by going to the settings and in the final section of the controls (with all the sliders) I moved a slider called "Hotbar Scroll time to Radial" all the way to the right, which seemed to turn off the Radial Hotbar. I could then use the bumpers to move through the Hotbar as normal.
