Does the Dryad's world status update automatically?

I found that I had to explore the world a bit after beating the Wall of Flesh to find where exactly the new infection was, and only then did she update the world status on infection percentages. Must I find all of the infection for the world status to be 100% accurate? or do I just have to wait a bit for the map to render and stuff?

You have to explore the new world after WoF is defeated, so the new hallow biome can load in and the other infection biome you have can load in. Then, she will auto update.

Damn it's kinda pointless then... she can say the world is pure but in reality there's a patch of corruption I never knew about that is still out there
