Stuck on "Found Server"
When I try to host a server, I choose the character and world as normal, but I get stuck on "Found server." I've seen posts elsewhere about this, but this has never happened until just recently.

Try restarting terraria, if not your computer. If that doesn't work, then I dunno.

This happened last time I launched Terraria, too.

turn off your firewall and try to connect. if that works, set terraria on the firewall exceptions list.

No, I'm hosting the server, not connecting. Plus, all three Terrarias are allowed. One of them is private and public, the others are only private.

im on windows 7, and i dont always believe that exceptions list. like you all three are checked, but if i want to host, i have to turn the firewall off completely then they can connect. idk what the actual problem is, but i can usually turn the firewall back on after they join.

It's not their connection issues, it's my server creation issues.

Exactly. Singleplayer works fine, though.

try validating the integrity of the game cache, if you havent already. alternatively, you could try to use the terrariaserver.exe to host.

Verification of the game cache didn't work.

so, i googled a bit and found this: https://steamcommunity.com/app/105600/discussions/0/530645961936982223/

about the fifth comment down provides detailed instructions on hosting using the server executable. I'd give that a try if I were you.
