Early Hardmode money farm?

I was looking online for a easy money farm, but all I found was post-golem / Summoner farms.
So, I have a question:
Is there an Early hardmode / pre-hardmode non-summoner money farm?

It's not really a farm but you could make a new large crimson world in expert mode and kill the brain of Cthulu as many times as you can. You'll get 2-3 platinum per world if you sell all the loot you get and depending on what kind of weapons / armour you have it should be pretty quick and easy. So far that's the best way I've found for making money in Terraria

Like Conart said, killing bosses is a very simple way of getting lots of money.

If you are looking for something more AFK-Friendly, then a simple statue farm might be what you need.
Setup a statue on a timer, pour one bucket of lava over it, and have it spread out so it doesn't break the drops. Put yourself underneath it, and sell all the drops.

Of course, you will want to use an enemy with some items that drop frequently/sell for a lot.
Skeletons and Jellyfish aren't bad choices.
Put multiple statues in the lava to get more drops.

I've been able to make ~50 gold in 8 minutes using variations of this method. Great if you want to just leave it on overnight or something. Only problems you have to worry about are enemies that fly through walls, and crashing.
