Is it just me, or is the (Pre-Duke Fishron) Ranger class weak?

I have shroomite armor (Which is good, but the set bonus doesn't really help; Most of the time, you'll have to move in order to dodge bosses and enemies, so you won't get the extra dmg buff, not to mention it doesn't give much defense), and the Electrosphere Launcher, Sniper Rifle, Chlorophyte Shotbow, daedalus stormbow, Xenopopper, and I'm currently trying to get the Candy Corn Rifle and the Chain gun, along with trying to kill Duke Fishron for the Tsunami. I don't know why, but I'm being killed easily, and I'm not getting all that good damage. IS it just I have bad gear, or Is the ranger class just underpowered? (I'm in an expert world.)

NOT. underpowered, beat the cultist, get vortex fragments, make vortex beater and/or the phantasm

Fishron is a optional boss, meaning the cultist and up weapons arent pre-duke in a way, he is easy.

I Meant on cultist, also xenopopper(If you don't have the no-shooty shooty glitch) and UFO is good agianst duke, just zigzag up and down slightly on his 1st 2 stages in a ufo so /\/\/\/\/\/ like that and then in 3rd go

And it's easy to beat duke. just buff up use the endless musket pouch + xenopopper and you should be good.

I just use the normal ironskin really, but the movement makes you hard to hit so when the screen goes dark blue, Start doing the up and down one.

Yes. that's how you do the movement

Just use your wings, fly in an infinity loop, and use chlorophyte bullets. The xenopopper is eh.

I recomend a Megashark instead, unless you are good at using the Xenopopper.

For the Duke arena, make a platform out of asphault.
