Is this Laser Machine Gun better than my Razorpine?
I've had the Razorpine for some time now and have recently got the Laser Machine Gun to drop. The Laser Machine Gun does significantly more damage per hit and seems to take less mana, but the Razorpine is slightly faster, deals slightly more knockback and doesn't have a charging phase.

Opinions? Should I stick with this Razorpine or switch to the Laser Machine Gun?

Aside from strawmanning, only one person has provided a counter argument to mine.

And the fact that you said "frequent breaks" in regards to firing the weapon just furthers my own point; it is not a viable option for constant DPS, whilst the Lunar Flare provides this and terrain penetration. Sure, the Last Prism is good for crowd control, but it's only slightly better than the Lunar Flare, at the cost of less overall dps, and massive drain on mana potion stock, which is a nuisance to keep refilling.

Late reply, but by frequent breaks I mean not firing when there's no enemies around. Some people, in the Pumpkin and Frost Moons, will constantly fire it between enemy groups just for the sake of it. If you only fire when necessary, it will help keep your mana up. Also, if you keep restarting the beam, you'll have more coverage as the initial fire is more spread out than the ending beam.

This doesn't dispute what I said though; during lengthy fights like the Moon Lord, or even the end waves of the Moons, you don't really have the luxury to not fire constantly, and thus the Last Prism is not the best option. Again, it's certainly not a BAD weapon, but it's not the BEST option for both all-around use and sustained DPS. If you like it, more power to you, but don't go around claiming that it's the be-all-end-all magic weapon, because it's quite clearly not.

the razorpine is much better it is less mana consuming with about just as much dps.
the laster is good for like destroying celestial pillars but there is really no point to having both
