What is the easiest way to get heart crystals?

Get a spear or piercing weapon to kill many enemies. go underground with a spelunker potion or two and go deep. use the potions way underground and there should be a few.

1. Find a purpose for stacks of stone.
   
2. Dig.
   
3. Refer to step 2.
   
4. Dangersense potion can help you find existing cave veins.
   
5. Refer to step 3.
   
6. Follow the caves.
   
7. Refer to step 5.
   
8. Give up.
   
9. Ask a friend.
   
10. Get rejected.
    
11. Dig some more.
    
12. Ask the community.
    
13. More rejection.
    
14. Dig.
    
15. Repeat step 14 until you get 400 health.
    
16. Realize you need heart fruits now.
    
17. Cry in the corner.
    
18. Collect heart fruits very painstakingly.
    
19. Obtain all needed heart fruits.
    
20. Suddenly find tons of heart fruits.
    
21. Cry.
    
22. Proceed with your life.

Oh yeah spelunker potions help too. Along with metal detector.
