Im Fighting The Destroyer With Cobalt and Badly Loosing
So Any Tips For Getting Adamantite?

fish a lot, crates contain hardmode ores after you get into hardmode
eventually go mining after breaking altars

use spelunker potion to look for adamantite.

I'd reccomend you make the adamantite into frost armor or forbidden armor, depending on your class. Titanium, though, tends to be better than forbidden for future reference, arguably better than frost.

Break as many altars as you can to make as much hardmode ore spawn as you can.
The lower you get, the more of the better ores you'll find.
Fishing for crates is always useful, as they contain Hardmode ores once you reach Hardmode.
Titanium > Adamantite, Frost Armor > Adamantite
Spelunker Potions are your best friend for finding Hardmode ores. Cherish these potions.

Yes, but more ores, even if it's just a little, is more ores. It doesn't spawn as much with each successive altar, but it still spawns more each time.

Yes, but more ores, even if it's just a little, is more ores. It doesn't spawn as much with each successive altar, but it still spawns more each time.

Still, it would be useless to keep breaking Altars after a certain amount have already been broken.

Eh, there's only a certain amount per world, might as well break any that you find. After all, they kinda don't serve much of a purpose when you get to Hardmode anyways.
