TEdit + Mods Question

I currently ran into the whole wont load world and lost everything... so i used TEdit to try to get my world back and I did, but all my items are gone and wanted to know if there was a way i could somehow transfer my modded items from the world I couldnt enter to the New world, all chests are in same location and everything just wanted to know Thanks!!

only the modded ones which are most of my items.... I was busy chest moving and had a bunch of usless stuff on me and had all my goodies in another chest ;-;...

Thanks, do you know how to back up with mods so i dont lose my items and so nothing like this happens again? i tried copying my chracter with modded items in his invo but when i went back and played him they were all gone.. is it different with worlds?

I don't know about how mods affect TEdit, but I know that you can use the Select & Copy tools over a group of chests, then use the "paste" tool to place chests several times in other areas or other worlds (basically copying items). One thing to note however, if you try and paste a chest, over the spot of an existing chest, the inventory of the pasted chest may not be transferred over. You need to paste the chest in an area that isn't overlapping with an already placed chest.

Also, make sure you update TEdit versions to be compatible with the latest version of Terraria, otherwise the game might not let you play a world that has been modded by an old version of TEdit.

It's a clusterf*ck of stolen content and unbalanced items.

Also it happened to me, it messes with item codes, and makes it highly corruptible if something goes wrong.

so should I disable it then, i dont exactly know what i would miss out on

Pro tip, sya away from tremor, detelete it in my gaems>Terraia>modloader>nods

ok, is calamity, crystallian (how ever you speel it), thorium good to stay, also any other mod recs then since im gonna have to get rid of it so it doesnt happen again?
