or you could get a mod that alows you to buy bait from the merchant(i think calamity does it but calamity adds lots of more content too) and you migt not want to do mods.

the grass growing boots jungle biome and a flaregun......shoot flare into a corner stand in corner at right spot grow grass that flare destroys....bugs galore.....you get the grass growing boots outta the big hollow living trees you find on surface i think
