Stop hardmode bosses from despawning?

Hi,

I've completed this game on xbox 360 and xbox ONE, by myself.

I'm now playing with one other person and it seems harder than ever. Is there any way to stop the bosses from despawning when players die? It's infuriating

That's annoying, I guess we should just focus on our builds until we luck out on killing one of them (so we can get Drax)

Drax needs you to kill all three of them. Do tell what armor, weapons and accessories you have.

Haven't used the Drax since they removed the Ham from it- pickaxeaxe is my way to go now, lol
And no, as far as I know there isn't any way to prevent boss despawn.

As long as there's still one player alive nearby, though, they stay there.

Yes, of course.
Now that you mentioned it:
On PC version, Terraria can have multiple instances opened at the same time if launched using the Terraria.exe file directly isntead of opening it through steam.

That means that theoretically, 2 players can build an arena for a boss and have a third
join them as another instance of terraria, and just stand in the middle of the arena with Shroomite armor and the Putrid Scent.
Thus, if the 2 players died [and only then] the boss will attack the third character instead of despawning.

While it can be considered cheating it may help someone out there. Note that this won't work with expert mode as the boss' health would scale up with the player count increase, making this methond inefficient.

Don't die, have a nurse near spawn that you can periodically go to while your partner fights. also set up an awesome arena.

Ah. That explains it.

This might sound foolish, but I've never built an arena. In my life. Played Terraria (on mobile mostly, and some on console) for about a year by now, and I haven't once built an arena.

I'm dumb.
