Best weapons pre hardmode (calamity mod)

I just killed the slime god and want to farm and improve my gear before i challenge the wall
Im playing a primarily summoner with some additional ranged weapons while the summons club dem enemies to dead

But whats the Best loadout from here on?

ATM im using the blood clot staff, i already crafted the goobow but im wondering if the lunarian bow could be cool too
What spells / staffs are good? Never rallye bothered with magic before so i dont have a clue here

Im using aerialite armor, would the goo armor be better?

What accessories are topnotch?

This. And i remember a magic staff (it requires the god slime gel. Corrupted gel. And 3 other things.) You get a great pre hardmode magic weapon. But the question is. Normal/expert/revengence?

Staff could probly destoy the Wof atleast the hungers. given it splits beams every shot to the nearest enemy.

I'm pretty new to the mod as well, but the Storm Surge seems pretty good. It's a ranged weapon with piercing, big shots, and it doesn't take any ammo. It's range isn't perfect, but oh well.
