However, you kinda ruin the whole Pre-Hardmode bit... Which to some, is good.
Pre-Hardmode is a lot more limiting than Hardmode, could be considered less fun, since there's less explosions, blood, and rainbows.
In that situation, I would keep the bow, but not use it. Beat Pre-Hardmode normally, and use the bow once the Hallow has spread around. That lets you get the best of both worlds, in my opinion.
You still keep the reward of not having to grind for good weapons, without the downside of breezing through the early game.
