Ichor debuff

How long does an ichor debuff last on a boss like Plantera. Would I be able to shoot him with ichor and then switch to something else or does the buff only apply when I use the weapon

Attack with ichor, attack with other weapon, rinse and repeat. Ichor debuff lasts about 3-5 seconds. You don't have to be continue using it for the debuff to keep going, but you do have to use it when the debuff effect ends.

It applies long enough to make the micro just worth the effort.
