Is the Sun Stone broken?

I have killed the golem almost 50 times now, and have obtained every item from it, excluding the one I actually wanted, the Sun Stone. I don't mean his expert mode drop (unless it's expert only), I mean the one needed to craft the Celestial Stone, then the Celestial Shell. please god end my suffering

UPDATE: GOT IT FINALLY! After killing almost 1300 lizhards and looting power cells from 3 other worlds, I finally get my hands on this elusive thing. never again
