A Terraria Community Forums Story: The Legend Of Yrimir

Whats up my friends! This started as an adventure map idea which might still become a thing if i get t-edit but now it has become a story that has characters based off of people in the community forums! So if you would like to submit yourself into the story, leave a comment saying you want to be in the story! (and ill do my best to add onto the story)

Im probably going to continue adding the story on to this same discussion, so i would reccomend subscribing to the discussion to see the rest of the story! (I will be editing the discussion to add more)

Prologue

A very, very, very, long time ago, the world we know as terraria was created by an ancient god named Red. After Red created the world, he felt bored... So he had 3 children who would soon become gods like red. These kids grew up and split the land fairly between the three of them. Their names were...

Yrimir, the god of purity

Ghostisious, the god of hallow

Sashlarian, the god of corruption


For a long time, the world remained peaceful. But Sashlarian soon became angry with Yrmir. Sashlarian was upset because he didnt like how all the people lived in the purity and not the corruption. He was upset that everyone loved Yrmir and his purity, and nobody lived in the corrupt lands. Sashlarian began spreading the corruption all over the world, breaking the fair borders the three gods set up a long time ago. Yrimir tried to stop the spread, but there was no stoping Sashlarian's anger, so he searched the land for a hero to help defeat Sashlarian. He found a human who was brave enough and blessed him with a sword strong enough to beat Sashlarian, because Yrimir could not kill his own brother himself.

So the hero had a great battle with Sashlarian, and was victorious. Since then, Sashlarias has been gone for a very long time. However, Yrimir has faded away as well. Before he left, he promised the people of the world that every day a rainbow would appear in the morning to show that the world is safe. Yrimir gave the hero's sword to his other brother, Ghostisious, to protect it. He says it can only be used by the hero again or another hero if the world is ever in danger again.

And the world was peaceful. The sword was not needed, Ghostisious never returned however, and has been long lost, but people think he still exists because of his hallowed lands still existing in the world.

Everything was fine until today.

The news station TNN (Terraria News Network) has found proof that the corruption is spreading again! Everybody thought that TNN was making for fake news as they usually do, but they were telling the truth this time.

The rainbows stopped appearing every morning. sometimes there were tons of rainstorms, and sometimes there were terrible droughts. The worshipers of the land only knew it meant one thing: Sashlarian has somehow returned from hell, and something bad has happened to Yrimir.

Now its up to a young boy named Peter (or whatever name/gender)

It's up to Peter to find out he is the new hero, obtain the hero sword from Ghostisious, and kill Sashlarian once again.

Sidenote: anyone who asks to be the new hero can be him, but i picked peter as the standard name just in case nobody wanted to do so.
