Need help. [Terraria expert/revengeance with thorium and calamity]

So yes, i got a lot of hours on this game but i never really played expert and recently i thought it would be cool to do so 'cause there is epic loot in expert and challenge, i also added two notorious mods (thorium and calamity) to add some extra spice.

But here comes the trouble : i accidently clicked the revengeance thingy when i spawned in the world.
(for those who do not know, revengeance is a new difficulty one step higher than expert, wich is added with calamity i think, the main thing is that you take 25% more damage and you deal 15% or 10% more damage, apparently all the ia's are also modified)

So since right now im only at pre skeleton i could just back off and start again, it would take me like maybe 2 hours to go back to the same state but i don't wanna.

So i got a few questions about the mods (people who only know vanilla terraria aren't gonna be able to help me much)

Is the bard class (thorium mod) worth it at my advancement ? I feel like getting inspiration upgrades is hard 'cause of the need of thorium ore, and mining thorium looks like a worthless time investment. Really feeling like the kind of thing that becomes worth later.

HOW THE ♥♥♥♥ DO YOU KILL SKELETRON ????? Just kidding, but i played with a friend and with the both of us we couldn't even get past 80% of the hands health. And all the great pre-hardmode stuff need skeletron to be killed. Is there a specific strat ? I feel like doing a super long arena and doing right-left all the time may be the way around.

Are the mod armors/weapons better than the vanilla ones ? Cause technically i can already get the molten armor, but i have to kill skeletron to get any good pre-hardmode thorium/calamity armor.

And finally, i was wondering if summoner was also worth pre-hardmode, with the meteor head staff i feel like it could be.

I'm here! I'm also currently doing a playthrough with thorium and other mods, and the bard class (for calamity or thorium I've forgotten) Isn't amazing pre-hardmode. It really shines early hardmode with weapons like the trombone and bagpipes. Generally the mod armor is greater than the vanilla, with some exceptions. Honestly I fight skeletron hardmode after the waffle. Summoner isn't really great pre-hardmode, as all the armor that supports is nowhere near being strong enough to protect you. Trying to kill skeletron with summoner in prehardmode I don't recommend. Make sure you'e got all the potions you can get, lifeforce, ironskin, and healing and mana pots. Any other questions?

EDIT: The meteor head staff is slow, but it's good to help with low-tier enemies. As a helper more than anything.

So you mean you beat skeletron after wall of flesh ? don't know what waffle means. If yes i was actually thinking of doing that, but i feel like the wall of flesh fight is so long that i cannot kill it within the full map travel time with my dmg

Yes, I mean the WoF. If you build a straight dirt path from start to finish, of the entire hell area avaliable, and craft some molotovs and obtain enough beenades, you'll be set.

Thx ima try this. Also i can throw some dynamite at the start of the boss by setting some special ores up into a angle patern i think.

1. You need the exact same mods. Any other mod that is even disabled, will make it impossible to play.

I didn't have any trouble at any moment with that, we only play with two mods so it's not like we are gonna have issues syncing our games.

I didn't have any trouble at any moment with that, we only play with two mods so it's not like we are gonna have issues syncing our games.

2. My friend had trouble joining, we had the exact same mods and I had a few disabled mods lying around. I couldn't join him either. So.

The newest version, if you both have tmodloader, should automatically download the mods the other player has that you don't when joining their world. I've never had problema with tmodloader multiplayer.

Neither did i. Works perfectly fine very intuitive
