Tips for expert WOF? (modded) (we saved the day lock this)

To clarify - I have Calamity installed, so tips revolving around that would really help.
Tried it all - Dynamite, bee bombs, phoenix blaster, but this ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ won't ♥♥♥♥ing die.
I have some of, if not the best equipment you can get pre hardmode and I still manage to only get him down to 1/2 his health. It's extremely frustrating because him and his minions are literally ♥♥♥♥ing inescapable.
Any help?

Have you considered making another world and quarrying the whole place? Small helps. It's what I did when I couldn't find a single Hermes Boots during one go through. That got old quick...
I suppose you could also get the best summon for the fight you figure you can get. Even without minion-supportive gear, more DPS is always good

from what ive read in the comments no one is really helping you out all too much.

make yourself some Statigel armor (statigel headgear(ranger bonus)).
make yourself the goobow.

you should technically be able to beat the wof with beenades very easily.

make your platform longer.

you NEED speed boots.

so long as you have high mobility youll be fine

Grenades are on-contact AoE damage that work nicely.
Molten Fury with hellfire arrows is more AoE, but not autofire.
Runway made of ice with frostspark boots. Shield of Cthulhu for dashing to help keep your distance.
Menacing/Lucky mod on all accessories (if you're not playing hardcore)
Archery potion, wrath/rage potion, regen/ironskin/swift potion.
Imp staff might not be a lot of damage, but some is more than none.

Did you even read my post? I said I can't find one and I despise using other worlds for loot. Feels like cheating to me. It's just the way I play and I've gotten used to it.

You fail to mention why you're dying. Is your runway too short? Are you too slow? Are you lacking DPS?
"scoured every inch of hell" is.. quite the claim. Let's say there's no hellwing bow at all in your world, and starting over is not an option for you. Did you try any of the other suggestions I listed to get your DPS up?

bundle of balloons, lightning boots, skyline wings, lava waders
runway is like 1/3 of the world size (medium)
to be honest "scoured every inch of hell" was more of a claim, but I checked every building and walked from left to right. only parts I haven't checked are submerged in lava and you can't see shadow chests in lava
my dps is good and I can spam click phoenix but the main issue is all of the hungrys that get in the way of him. Considering to try meteor shot but penetration weapons give slight immunity to enemies

Imp staff is bad compared to my current minion ebonslimes, as well as fungal clump
I haven't gone in the snow yet. Not going to bother covering my huge runway with ice if I can even find that much.

Can't find another doll, going to try all these suggestions tomorrow as well as get more beenades to hopefully try again with them

Frostspark > lightning. If you can't outrun wall of flesh, this will help.
Runway made of ice for better control and speed.
Phoenix blaster is crap DPS. Molten Fury with hellfire arrows and archery potion trounces that, AND it's AoE.

Here are my tips.

Essentials:
400 HP
Spectre/Lightning/Frostspark Boots
Swiftness Potion
-Blinkroot
-Cactus
-Water Bottle
100 HP healing potion
-Glowing Mushroom
-Lesser Healing Potion (x2)
A bridge of blocks at least 999 blocks long

Methods:


1. Beenades (expert only)

Run in the opposite direction of the WoF, using 100-150 beenades. Beenades are crafted from grenades (bought from demolitionist) and bee wax (dropped from queen bee). Beenades also drop from the queen bee. Queen bee summons can be crafted with bottles of honey, honey blocks, hive blocks, and stingers.
Have the hive pack equipped, which is dropped from the queen bee on expert. You do not have to be able to see the Wall of Flesh on screen while you are throwing beenades. You can mindlessly spam them and he will die quite quickly. If you don't use a swiftness potion and don't have fast enough boots, he will catch you when he's almost dead.

2. Bee's Knees

The Bee's Knees is a bow dropped from the Queen Bee. It is incredibly effective with the hive pack, which you must use if you are playing on expert. Make sure you are using wooden arrows. Run away from the WoF and shoot in his direction. Aim for the eyes, but don't worry if the bees go for the Hungry.

3. Phoenix Blaster

You've mentioned you've tried it before, so I presume you have it. What you probably didn't do, however, is use meteor shot. Meteor shot is a type of bullet that pierces targets and richochets off of solid blocks. Meteor shot is crafted using musket balls (bought from arms dealer) and meteorite bars (from meteorite, which fall after shadow orbs/crimson hearts are broken).
Again, run away from the WoF using the weapon. You should go for the eyes, as the hungry will be decimated in the line of fire. The phoenix blaster should kill the WoF very quickly.

4. Flare Bolt and Hellwing Staff

The Flare Bolt is a waterbolt-like spell crafted using hellstone materials (give the guide a hellstone bar and look for it). The Hellwing Staff rains down wall-piercing projectiles which become quite effective. The Hellwing Staff is also crafted from hellstone materials (ask the guide with a hellstone bar).
The Flare Bolt is an effective weapon to spam, aim it at the eyes or on blocks to bounce off of. The Hellwing Staff is likely more effective, as it will decimate the Hungry AND the Wall of Flesh with ease.

5. Night's Ray/Lunarian Bow

Both of these weapons are moderately effective, especially the Lunarian Bow, but both require the death of the Slime God. The best way to kill the Slime God is:

1. Use the OVERLAY map (not the corner map) to see where the bosses are at all times, ESPECIALLY the Slime God himself (the orb).
2. Use the Flare Bolt and shoot in the direction of the Crimson and Corruption sime gods. DO NOT FOCUS ON AIMING, as you want to make sure you can dodge the Slime God orb, who can mess you up with his gravity debuff.
3. Having a long platform helps. It is ESSENTIAL that you have a way of dashing and Skyline Wings (made with aeriliate bars and bones at a sky mill. A sky mill can be crafted with sunplate blocks (found on floating islands), cloud blocks, and rain blocks).
