I need Fishing Tips :)

I really like fishing in terraria and i need a few tips on somethings.First, should i save all my crates for hardmode because of the ores? Is it really worth it? it doesnt seem like it bc i can just fish for more crates. Second is there any Biome i should fish in when not fishing for quests? Is there a specific one thats the best or do all biomes give different rewards so you have to fish everywhere. Thanks any help is appreciated :)

I would fish for fishes that makes buff potions like caverns for armored fish. You get more worth of stuff from crates in hard mode but if you like fishing it does not really matter because you can just get more

yeah thats what i thought i think that if you fish a lot crates wont be that hard to get and also what do the armored fish make? i only know the specular fish makes recalls and wormholes

The armored fish makes Endurance Potion that gives 10% damage reduction and a Fish called Ebonkoi that is catched in the Corruption biome makes Wrath Potion gives more dmg (don't remember the stats).

if you turn auto pause on and then throw an item while fishing you get more fishing lines :P

yeah i saw that glitch but idk if i wanna do it since its pretty much cheating

also you should try to find the fiberglass fishing rod or sitting duck's fishing rod

try to fish when it is raining because it gives you more fishing power (i think it is like 20 or 30%)


there is no specific best biome to fish in because they all have different things

for any help on potions take a bottle of water (created by going near a body of water any sise then using a empty bottle in the crafting menu to create it) then go to the guide press his crafting button put the bottle of water in and it will show you all the potion recipies


note: you have to place a empty bottle on a platform or table and thjen use it as a crafting station for the potions the guide shows you
